Jessie Dowd of Design:Retail talks with designer Megan Grehl, Caleb Mulvena of Mapos, Sebastian Kaufmann of AHAlife/Kaufmann Mercantile and Dasha Faires of Canal Street Market about how the technological revolution has changed way we browse for products, and buy the things we see (often at a click) as well as the continued importance of retail for touching, feeling and personal engagement. Questions to be considered are: Is there a synergy between retail and digital shopping, can the two exist in harmony and/or can digital actually help support or even save retail and, in doing that, maintain and improve the infrastructure of our towns and cities we love and require to get away from our online existence.
